A Day of Departures

No, I wasn’t actually going anywhere, like, on a plane, but today was a day of departing from the norm.

 

Departure #1 :

I’m wearing pink instead of my usual black.

When I came across this Lily Pulitzer skirt while thrifting in Ohio and it was only $3.58…I thought I would give the color pink, a try.

 

This skirt was SO hard for me to style! I finally decided to just put it with a basic white tee, of which I had none.

Departure #2 :

I shopped at Walmart for my basic white tee shirt.

At $2.97 each, I bought one in black too.

 

Departure #3 :

I tied a knot in the tee shirt and…

it kinda looked cute.

 

Departure #4 :

I switched out my everyday handbag, which I very rarely do.

Which leads to my final departure of the day…

 

Departure #5 :

Agreeing to meet someone I have never met, at a bar, for a drink.

So of course I said YES!

We talked non-stop for two hours about all things blogging, thrifting, traveling and interior design.

Lisa is an amazing and talented interior designer and knows her way around a thrift store. Next time she’s in town, I know what we’ll be doing!
